» Posted by on Feb 18, 2013 in Activities

DUE TO POOR ROAD CONDITIONS DR. MOSS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND TONIGHT BUT THE REST OF THE MEETING WILL GO ON AS SCHEDULED.

OKC Water Utilities has contracted with the OSU Extension to educate citizens with a goal of conserving the Oklahoma City water resources.

The objectives of this project are to educate citizens regarding proper outdoor water use, plant selection, irrigation technologies and water conservation techniques.

Leading that effort is Dr. Justin Q. Moss, Assistant Professor, Department of Horticulture & Landscape Architecture, Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, OK.

Dr. Moss will be guest speaker and will address these issues at the Edgewater-Lakepointe Neighborhood Association meeting, Thursday, February 21st at Mayflower Congregational Church, 3901 N.W. 63rd at 7:00 p.m.

Also, Ward One City Council Candidates – Gary Marrs, Carolyn Sims and James Greiner will be introduced and each will present a brief version of their vision for Ward One

This is new ground (pardon the pun boaters) for Oklahoma City water users and is one of the first public airings of the Water Trust’s response to the ongoing drought conditions in Oklahoma. This will be a busy meeting so come early or send a representative of your neighborhood association or organization.

THIS AFFECTS EVERYONE IN THE METRO AREA!
