OK, I admit I’m just trying to ride the coattails of the hundreds of millions of dollars being spent on these campaigns but WE ARE HAVING A FRIENDS OF LAKE HEFNER (FOLH) MEETING NEXT TUESDAY!

This is the annual Members Meeting and we will have several knowledgeable people on hand who’s expertise is TREES!  In fact, Jerrod Cassada, an OG&E arborist will be giving us a presentation on trees and utility easements.  Melissa Brodt of OKC Beautiful will be on hand and I hope to also have Mike Scharrer a Sierra Club activist and forester and Brian Dougherty the administrator of  the Margaret Annis Boys Trust at the Oklahoma City Foundation (our benefactor) and if I can find a City official in charge of trees I’m going to try and get that person aboard.

I’m just interested in replacing trees in our city and I would like to have discussions about how that can be accomplished buy business and citizen’s organizations without placing a burden on the City.  If you have an interest in this subject i encourage you to attend this meeting and let us hear your thoughts and ideas on the subject.

The meeting is October 16 at7:00 pmat Keel Hall (the old same place) and we’ll have munchies and good companionship in an informal setting.  So bring a snack or your favorite meeting hydration product and let’s visit!
